Where is Club Getaway?
Located in Kent, CT near the New York State border about 10 miles north of where the 7 meets the 202. Camp Getaway is approximately 85 miles from New York City, 155 from Boston and 55 miles from Hartford.
Take the bus ride from NYC!
Make the trip easy and get acquainted with other campers by taking the JDate bus from Manhattan to Camp Getaway. We’ll be departing from at our pick-up spot on First St. and East 63rd in Manhattan at 6 pm on Friday, July 11. Your return trip will depart at 4 pm on Sunday, July 13 from Club Getaway and return you to the original pick-up location. The trip lasts about two hours and can be booked for $55 roundtrip by calling Customer Service at 1-877-453-3861 (please arrive at the pick-up spot at least 30 minutes before departure).
Where do I fly into?
John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK) located in Queens, NYC. Then, either rent a car and drive yourself or take the bus that leaves from Manhattan on Friday, July 11 to Club Getaway.
Weather:
Expect daily highs in the mid ‘80s °F and lows in the mid ‘60s °F.
In the rare event of rain, Club Getaway offers plenty of indoor activities including bowling, indoor rollerblading, self defense, arts and crafts and game shows.
What should I wear?
Bring your comfy tennis shoes, shorts and camping attire. We’re relaxing on this trip so make yourself as comfortable as possible. Remember to bring some good shoes for playing sports, a swimsuit, sunscreen, flip-flops, sunglasses and your favorite marshmallow-toasting attire.
